Harold W. Hobbs was an American educator and college football coach. He served as the head coach at Amherst College from 1910 to 1913.
Hobbs attended Amherst College from which he graduated with an A.B. in 1909.[1] On September 5, 1909, Hobbs married Rosemary née Field in Morris, Connecticut.[2]
From 1910 to 1913, Hobbs coached the football team at his alma mater and compiled a 13–17–2 record.[3] He did graduate studies at Harvard University from 1915 to 1916.[4] In 1917, he was an English teacher and assistant headmaster at the Morristown School in Morristown, New Jersey.[4] By 1920, he was teaching at the Detroit Country Day School in Detroit, Michigan.[1]
